Connect it to Abstractus Desktop

Pair your browser with the desktop app once. You approve it in the app.

A one-time step

Each browser pairs with the desktop app once. After that it stays connected until you disconnect it. Abstractus Desktop must be open.

Connect

Click the Abstractus button in your toolbar.
Select Connect to Abstractus Desktop.
Switch to the desktop app. A window asks Connect this browser?
Select Connect.

In the browser, select Connect to Abstractus Desktop.

In the desktop app, select Connect. Only approve if you just clicked it in the browser.

The window waits a moment before it takes a click, so a stray key can't approve it. Cancel or Esc declines.

Use a code instead

If the approval window doesn't appear, use a connection code. In the desktop app, open Library, then Browser connections, and create a code. In the extension, open Connector settings, choose Use a connection code instead, and paste it. The code is shown once. Keep it private.

Disconnect a browser

In the desktop app, open Library, then Browser connections. Select Disconnect beside the browser. You can also select Disconnect this browser in the extension's settings.
