Pharmacovigilance: safety check

Check papers for adverse events with one drug: upload PDFs, set your criteria, and review every case with its reason and quote.

What it is

A Pharmacovigilance safety check reads the papers you upload for one drug and finds the patients with adverse events.

Running a check

  • Open New Task, choose Drug safety, then select Check papers.
  • Name the drug and add your papers: PDF, XML, TXT or a .zip.
  • Set your criteria: what counts as a case, and which markets to check.
  • Review the setup and start. You're notified when results are ready.
Choose Drug safety, then select Check papers.
Name the drug, then drop your papers in the upload area.
Check the setup, then select Start check.

A check can hold up to 80 files and 1,000 pages, and you can run 2 at once.

It costs 4 credits per page, with a 50-credit minimum per job. The price is shown before you start.

What you get

Every patient comes back with a reporting outcome and a quote from the paper. Each paper also shows the reason for its outcome. Papers with no adverse event are listed on their own, so you can see what was set aside.

Cases sort into three lists. Open a case to see its quote.
The overview counts the outcomes for each reporting route.

Open Show the text we read on any paper to see the exact text behind the result. Export the cases as a CSV or a report.

Open a paper to see Why, then Show the text we read.
