Full-text screening
Uploading PDFs, limits, how long PDFs are kept, and downloading them.
Starting a full-text screening
Open a completed abstract screening and select Start Full Text. Your criteria carry over, and you can make them stricter for full-text screening. You can also start independently: open New Task, choose Full-Text Screening, and upload your PDFs.
When you start from abstract screening results, the Dashboard groups both screening jobs under the same review.
PDFs and limits
Upload PDFs individually or in a ZIP file. Each run supports up to 1,000 PDFs and 10,000 pages in total. Each PDF can be up to 25 MB and 300 pages.
The price is 2 credits per page, counted from the PDFs themselves before you submit.
How long PDFs are kept
Decisions, reasoning and metadata are retained permanently. Original PDFs are retained for 14 days after a run finishes. Download them as a ZIP before that period ends if you need to keep a copy.
The owner receives reminder emails 3 days and 1 day before the PDFs are removed. Rerunning the screening or starting data extraction restarts the 14-day retention period.
Downloads
Choose Included, Excluded, All or Selected papers, then download their metadata as CSV or their original PDFs as a ZIP. Only the owner and editors can download PDF ZIPs.
A PDF that can't be screened after retries is included for manual review and counts toward the job's cost.
