Save a paper from any journal page

Click the button on a paper's page. The reference and the PDF go to your desktop library.

Save a paper

  • Open the paper's page in your browser. Sign in to the publisher if you normally do.
  • Click the Abstractus button in the toolbar.
  • A small window shows the save. It closes by itself when it's done.

The window shows the save as it happens.

The reference and the PDF go to your Abstractus Desktop library. Files stay on your computer.

Your own access

The extension saves what your browser can already open. If you have access through a subscription or your library, the PDF is saved. If you don't, only the reference is saved.

You can also use the shortcut Ctrl+Shift+A (Cmd+Shift+A on a Mac).

If the save fails

A message says Saving failed. Is Abstractus Desktop running? Open the desktop app and try again. For other problems, see If something isn't working.
